Recent good weather at Lower Compton has meant civil engineering works to permanently cap areas of landfill which are up to final levels are proceeding well.
These works are being completed ahead of our proposed schedule. It is hoped that, if weather conditions allow, the permanent, 1m deep, clay capping will be in place by mid-July.
Subsequently, permanent gas extraction should be installed by end of July.
Our earth works contractors are on site full-time, working until 7pm daily and over weekends, weather permitting.
